Hi guys,

Working on a new site for a client at : http://ccngroup.com.au.dnnmax.com/

The client has asked me to come into their studio and see how the site loads on a PC. They are running IE8 and Trend Micro AV on one machine, and IE8 with McAffee on the other - and both load the site EXTREMELY slow.

On the desktop PC, the status bar says its loading "item X of 140". When I load the site on my machine, the most I get is 36 items to load (and it loads almost instantly).

They are insisting its a browser compatability problem (despite showing her other PC's in her studio on the same version of IE8 work fine).

Any suggestions?

there have been reports of virus scanners causing a similar issue (can't recall which ones), please try disabling them temporarily to see if this helps

Thanks Cathal,

She can browse other sites without issue - so Im a little confused why this would happen?

AFAIR the problem reported was an AV scanner on the server - are you running an AV service on your web server machine?

Thanks as always Sebastian :)

Its being hosted with PowerDNN at the moment, and all other computers/browsers work fine - I know by intuition that its her compputer, and some plugin or av scanner - but Im not an IT person, and obviously cant "fix" it for her.

In the meantime, I installed Chrome on her machine, and it works perfectly.
