Hello All,

I followed Shaun Walker's instruction for installing DNN 4.3 starter kit and Item Template. After installing  the templates, I then opened Visual Web Developer and created a new DotNetNuke Web Application. When I try to build the project I get 34 errors starting  with the following error.

'type "reportinfo" is not defined' at line 54 of setting.ascx.vb

Certainly I have done something wrong, but I have no idea where to turn.  I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,
John

I usually have a DNN site up and running first before I install the starter kit.  I do everything manually by taking the 4.3.4 folders placing them in my virtual folder c:\dnn and open the web.config file in notepad and update the connection strings with the info of my database that created manually also.  Once that is done I open that website and I can see all my folders and files in Solution Explorer in VWD or VS2K5.  When that is done I extract the starter kit to my c:\dnn folder and double click the VS Content file to run the install.  Once the install has ran you must go back to the root folder in the Solutions Explorer window and right-click > "Add new Item" Now you should notice a popup window that gives you options.  You will see a mod and skin template. (change code to VB for skin template) Then you click on the template you want and just click "Add"  Its smooth sailing from there.

Hi
I have had a similar problem. I successfully installed DNN 4.3 and handed the site over for development. The web engineer accidently referred back to <Home> in setting up a page that resulted in the login page being bypassed. The cure for that was ( for earlier versions thread 60757) to edit the database value for LoginTabId to NULL.
I used VWD to access and edit the database.  The value in that field was 36 so I changed it to NULL and rebuilt the site. The rebuild failed because of the type ReportInfo not being defined. This was in the Reports Module.

Any help would be much appreciated
