I've just upgraded my development system to Vindows Vista RC1, and have not been able to get IIS7 (shipped with Vista) to run DNN 4.3.5.

Can anyone give me a step-by-step on how to get this working?

Thanks in advance.

Steve.

Its not good news Steve.

I have DNN4.3.5 running but there are module errors....eek

The 2 tricks are:

1. Although you probably installed IIS7 you also need to enable ASP.NET.

Start -> Control Panel -> Programs ->Turn Windows features on or off -> Yes I am god -> Internet Information Services -> World wide web services -> Application Development Features -> ASP.NET (tick)

2. Until the nessesary changes are made in the web.config you need to run under a "classic" managed pipeline mode. Basically with step 1 you will get e new application pool called Classic .NET , change your site to use this pool.

I tested a fresh new install with SQL 2005 and it installed fine, could log in, navagate etc, it looks like the FTBeditor has some problem as it blows up on editing text modules - "The Runat attribute must have the value Server"

OK solved that one:

texteditor.ascx uses those silly quotation marks that arn't really quotation marks in programming land (I am probably offending some country where they are used)

The offending line is #9:

<td id="celTextEditor" runat="Server">

When debugging 4.3.5 using Vista | VS 2005 Pro error is generated in the Blog module.

The server tag is not well formed. (EditEntry.ascx Line 21)

The issue appears to be in the ResourceKey tag.  There is a special character in the tag and it currently reads

ResourcêKey
