 Hey Guys i tried to install DNN 4.2 on my Xp installed box. I think Everything's done successfully but when i tried to open Default.aspx it gives the error following below... Please help me How can i resolve the problem? Thank you...

hi, i'm having same problem. have you resolved this issue? looking at this line:

DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalSettings..ctor

it shows two (..) after PortalSettings so looks like that some problem there ?????

its appears there is an error on the intallation. it fails on creating the default portal. seems the path is being truncated all the way to the drive e.g. (e:\) where as it should be [in my case] e:\domains\k\komdomain.co.uk\user\htdocs\.

i'm still trying to figure out why its doing this

This is in general caused by not having the right permissions on the directories.
