Hi,

I'm setting up a couple of sites in DNN 4.3.3, with a hierarchy that looks something like this:

- root (www.url.com)
  - page 1 (www.url1.com)
  - page 2 (www.url2.com)
        - page 3 (www.url2.com/some_page)
  - page 4 (www.url.com/some_page)

I would like them all to be in the same portal, as I want them to be all searchable at the same time. I also want the breadcrumb trail for page 3 to be "root:page 2:page 3"

How do I set up the URL redirects (to, for example, send www.url1.com to whatever the "real" url of page 2 is in the portal)? I've looked at "Portal Aliases" and "Friendly URLs", but I don't think either is appropriate in this case.

TIA, //mts

You can do this with the UrlRewriter in SiteUrls.config

I created an entry in IIS (Win2003 Server) (under "Host Header Value" in "Website Identification") for myURL.com (I can't use wildcards on this server). Then in DNN 4.0.3, I've added the following new rule in "Friendly URL settings":

myURL.com.* ~/Default.aspx?tabid=207

However when I try to browse myURL.com I end up getting the portal homepage, and not the tab. Friendly URLs are enabled. myURL.com was a portal alias at one point, however I've removed the alias.

Any idea what I'm missing?

Thanks, Marius

You need the latest version of DNN (3.3/4.3) to use this feature.

There was a typo on my part. I am using DNN 4.3.3.
