What is the [L] in every link shown when dnn3.3.4 is installed???

Inside the web.config is a setting called "showMissngKeys", set that to false to remove those [L]s

That setting is for development to be able to see where resourceKeys are missing which points to text that is not localized.

BTW On another topic, Inter Module Communication; I can't find an example in the module source of IMC. Any idea if where I can find an example?

No, sorry.  I don't know of any examples of IMC.  I've never found a use for it myself.
I'm often able use post variables, or the aps.net cache to do any communication between modules.

If you need asynchronous messaging between modules that is persistent you might consider using the EventQueue.
