I'm very new to DNN. I installed the lastest version of DNN and modules I need. After having setup the blog module, I try to add the gallery module. I immediatly get an error "A critical error has occurred. Unable to cast object of type 'ASP.default_aspx' to type 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Gallery.Container'."
I spent some time searching on the forum and on the web.
I know now that this problem has been reported for some times now and community still complain about it.
The bug in even reported here http://support.dotnetnuke.com/Issues.aspx?m=1&c=3&v=1 but the status is Trivial (If this one is trivial, I'm scared to meet a Show Stopper one !)
Dev team, do you want help on this issue ?

HI Danvy,

Crispy has said that the gallery module hasn't been tested to work with DNN 4.0.2.  There are, I think, some people that have gotten it to work but I've not seen anything about how they did it posted to the forums. 

From what I've read here in this forum the Gallery module & DNN 4.0.2 combo will not be supported until after they stop developing for the DNN 3.2 branch. It's probably marked down as trivial because of that.

If you have VS 2005 and the source code it might be as simple as changing the type case for the gallery container to what is expected.  I've not tried anything at all with DNN 4.0.2 yet.

It has been impossible for me to reproduce the error. I have not seen it yet happen. In this same forum there's a user that has DNN 4 and Gallery working. I have noted before that Gallery is still Beta, although it was an oversight not to say it clearly before.

Here's the error with debug symbols.  I realize the project team is working hard on the DAL for the next release, but it sure would be nice to fix the current beta for v4.x users.

The error is in ControlPager.ascx.vb at line 63:
