In summary, DNN will not go into Edit Mode logged in as Host and Admin when I request the site without www. Editors (a security role i created) do not experience this.
When I request the site without www (foundationccc.org), logged in as Host or Admin, clicking Edit Page does not put DNN into edit or view mode. It will go into Edit Mode by checking the Stay in Edit Mode check box; that will put the page into Edit Mode. Also, clicking Modules > Add New Module puts DNN into an infinite refresh loop in the same session without www.
We have Editors (a security role I created) who can insert HTML modules and I thought that perhaps the permission were conflicting between Admins and Editors but it’s not. Editors do not experience the refresh loop. Removing Editors from the module extension permissions, the refresh loop still happens. The other menu options in the control bar function properly for Admin and Host, just not Modules.
Copying the same conditions above but requesting the site with www (www.foundationccc.org) will put DNN into edit mode and clicking Add New Module does not put DNN into a refresh loop. Everything works and functions as expected.
What am I missing? What would be the suspects as to why Host and Admin do not go into Edit Mode under that condition? What should I check for? What else have I left out for anybody to help figure this out?
IT says if we request the site without www, it will redirect to www however I do not experience.
Best Regards Community,
Thank you for checking this out.
