I have just transitioned my two websites to 7.2, which required shifting hosting services on Go Daddy to the Windows Plesk environment. I used a dummy domain name to establish a clone site(s). While the website with the dummy domain name is working fine, when I try to point the "original" domain name to the DNN directory in the host account, I get a Server Error 404 - File or directory not found page. Since the server host is shown as directing the domain name to the appropriate DNN directory, it leads me to wonder whether there is something within the DNN 7.2 files that is looking for the dummy domain name. I can reset the domain name as an alias or redirection, but the dummy domain name shows in the browser line. Any idea why this may be happening? It is clearly beyond the people at GoDaddy who say it must be a DNN problem.
