Workflow Email Notifications Emails arrive too late.

Environments - DNN Evoq online trial.

Issue - Workflow Email Notifications, when a content's workflow state changes arrive too late (takes half an hour at an average, sometimes dont arrive at all)

Steps:-

1. I create a new workflow, add some states, assign some roles to each state.

2. Then i go to a module, apply that workflow.

3. I then add content, save and click on 'publish'. I do this for every subsequent state and let it progress to the final "Published" state by logging into DNN with appropriate users.

The mails (e-mails) that are supposed to come when i cross every workflow state take too much time to arrive.

However the following mails arrive instantaneously:-

1. when creating a user

2. when the content reaches its last 'published' state.

First i thought that it could be an issue with the scheduler. but the scheduled task 'Messaging Dispatch' runs every 1 mins (not 30 mins as in my case), so this couldn't be the issue.

What could be the problem??
