i am getting the following error:

The transaction log for database 'cthog' is full. To find out why space in the log cannot be reused, see the log_reuse_wait_desc column in sys.databases

I am installed on a hosting service, so I am not sure what the sys.databases is...

I tried to manually delete some entries in the DNN4_EventLog table (which I believe is the problem) using MS Server Management Studio Express, but it failed with the same error.

I cannot log into the site as Super User to clear the logs from there.

How do I recover from this?  Later I want to understand what i can do to prevent it :-)

Jay

Create a maintenance plan on the SQL server to do regularly schedules backups. Backups of your database, which is truly the heart of you DNN deployment should never be overlooked. In most cases a once a day backup would be enough; for mission critical sites, multiple backups (whether full or transaction log file) daily are essential.
