I am sure I must have screwed up something to cause this behavior but as a relative newbie I am still leraning:

I can Add core modules to my home page (like Text/Forums etc) but when I try add them to other pages, it seems to go thru the motions of adding the module (and it shows the "Install Aplication Features" link after the Add, but it never actually adds the module to the specified area (content in my case).  Basically, it is redirecting me to my home page when complete but never adds the module when I go back to that page.  No errors are visible.  Of Course I am signed in with Admin privledges when doing this.  I know that it did previously work before, but I suspect somehow I must changed a setting that is preventing this and it is making my hair turn greyer than it already is.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I failed to mention that this is DNN 4.4 install.  Any suggestions are welcome, as even the text module is doing this.

it look like an issue of your installation. Please check the .log files in folder /providers/dataproviders/sqldataprovider for installation issues listed - you eventually will need to reinstall, if the database structure has not been set up correctly.

Well for the benefit of anyone else that may encounter a problem similar to what I described at the beginning of this thread, the problem has now disappeared, and I can now add modules to the pages that were not working last weekend (today was the first time I have tried it again since my original post).  I truly made no changes since then, so whatever web gods have fixed this (or maybe a restart of my ISPs web server), I am thankful.
