Hi,

For DNN4 website, we need third party flash video player/image gallery plugin(which should contains playlist and preview kind of functionality).
Any pointers on this would be appreciated.

Hi Shrikant

I have used two third party party modules that play Flash video.
Check out the FLV player from BhattiModules. Very good and Jaydeep is very open to helping with modification to suit. As far as I know this is the only module to easily play FLV video.

The Smoke Ranch media player says it will play Flash swf (never tested by me) but it does not play FLV.
This does have a nice thumbnail feature. I used this for a site where I needed to play WMV and QT inside the same control.

Both are cheaper than hours of messing about but you could also try using adapting a repository video template as this will call any player you like - With Modification.

Anthony,

Did I miss something. I downloaded your player and it doesn't seem to allow flv files.

Is this correct or did I miss something?

Hi Ryan,

You need a component from macromedia to play FLV files using the Flash Player ActiveX control (which is what the flashplayer module uses).  See here for more info.
