Hello,
I've been receiving this error when i try to edit a blog entry. I have DNN 4.4.0 (recently upgraded from 4.3.5) on Win 2003 and SQL server 2000

Error: Edit blog entry is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Access to the path 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\dotnetnuke\Portals\0\Blog\Files\1\2' is denied. ---> System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\dotnetnuke\Portals\0\Blog\Files\1\2' is denied. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.Directory.InternalCreateDirectory(String fullPath, String path, DirectorySecurity dirSecurity) at System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory(String path, DirectorySecurity directorySecurity) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Blog.File.FileController.getEntryDir(String pModulPath, EntryInfo pEntry) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Blog.File.FileController.getFileList(String pModulPath, EntryInfo pEntry) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Blog.EditEntry.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Is it about folder permissions to "IUSR_" because i am accessing my portal through Internet and not locally. Kindly guide me towards the solution,

thanks in advance.

Raghu

Hi legondaree,
i just solved my problem by granting required access permissions to IUSR_ and NETWORK SERVICE users. (i don't know how these users got stripped off of their permissions.. )

my issue however was a simpler 'access denied' problem. Yours definitely requires a programmers eye to resolve.

I am having the exact same error when trying to edit a blog entry

strange thing is, I checked the path through the site control manager and it doesn't even exist.

There is no entry 'blog' under /portals/0/

The blog works fine for the rest though, adding posts, comments , works fine, just editing throws this error.

If the path only existed I could easily change security on it but now I really don't know how to proceed here
