I know that the repository module is a vs2003 project.  But I am working with vs2005, and I need to make some modifications with to it.  Mainly I need to add custom code to allow permissions to be set on each added category.  At any rate, will any changes made in vs2005 to the repository module work?

I haven't tried working with the code under VS2005 myself. The best I can suggest is trying the Module Upgrade Wizard available on the Downloads page and giving that a shot. Then any changes should work without a problem.

I have itworking successfully under VS 2005. You have to modify some of the function calls (that have been made obsolete in the core), but otherwise it works like a charm...

Sanjay,

I see you got this working on VS2005, any chance you would be willing to send me the modified source that works in VS2005.  It would save a lot of pain on my end.

Thank you,

Dan

Dan - what's your email? shoot me off an email at dnnsupport_AT_webacuity.com and I'll send you over the modified version. Please note that the version I'm using has some changes for the roles (I needed to restrict users from downloading files based on roles), but overall it's the same module.

Sanjay
