I try by removing the Compression module in Web.config HttpModules section.  It can't solve  WebForm_PostBackOptions is undefined

When I login as adminstrator or host user, everything work fine.  But for others user roles, WebForm_PostBackOptions error occur.

WebForm_PostBackOptions and webresource.axd Problem Solution for DotNetNuke

We describe here the solution for the WebForm_PostBackOptions Problem in DotNetNuke what we have used and verified on over 20 Portal-Systems successfull.


Important before make changes:

Before you make changes on your portal please make a Backup from your portal and your database.

Important before update to DotNetNuke:

Make sure you have installed all latest version from your used modules how apollo (localization), Brind2Minds Document Exchange and others.

When you not make a update to the latest version of your used modules you become many errors after a upgrade. In hardest
situation you cannot more access to your portal.

Needed Steps:

1.Upgrade to DotNetNuke 04.05.00 or 04.05.01

When you used Compression then you need this followed additional Steps:

1.Goes to Host-Settings / Advanced Settings / Compression Settings
2.Write in Excluded Paths: webresource.axd
3.click on update

For those still having issues with this, and none of the suggestions in this thread have helped make sure you have this in your web.config...

<

xhtmlConformance mode="Legacy"/>

This should be under the </pages> section. you can compare from 4.4.1's web.config This was what got my 4.5.1 working as expected.

I fixed this error by removing the blowery compression entries in the web.config.

But still getting an error about Type is undefined. It doesnt effect the site in anyway, just annoying having the warning symbol in the bottom of ie.
