Just figoured out my problem. For module development in DNN 4.4.0, you must have this in your web.config. Otherwise the dlls in the app_code are missing in the precompiled bin folder.

<

   <add directoryName="Module Name"/>

Did you both try my approach to developing modules? Try it, it could open your eyes :)

You can find a link to it in my sig.

Also,

Click Here to download the file created with Creating compiled assemblies tutorial. Iin particular open the .dnn file and remove any reference to any files with a .vb or a .config extension.

Also,

If you don't see the app_code assemblies (.dll's)...

ensure that you actually have code in the App_Code directory for your module. This is not always the case. For example the Super-Simple Module (DAL+) tutorial creates no code in the App_code directory. You will only have "App_Subcode_" assemblies for that module.
