This has nothing to do with the promotion.  It's the hosting / module setup as someone has already indicated.  These definitely have a fixed life so you need to keep track of the dates.  These modules will kill your site if you don't have the licenses installed properly.

Cathal is absolutely correct.  There is a current issue with the core licensing engine that we use to deliver the protection/licensing solution.  This technology is now owned by Microsoft, who is agressively working to resolve this issue so that it may run in all trust levels.

Until then, Cathal's suggestion is correct regarding how to fix this issue.  Simply removing the offending DLL will solve the issue.  If you locate the 'FlatBurger.Permutation...' DLL from your bin directory and remove it, your site will go back to normal.  Additionally, if you let us know your hosting provider we can speak with them to see if the DLL can be added to the GAC, which would allow things to run.  We apologize for this issue, and are working very hard along with Microsoft to resolve it.

If you have any questions or issues, please do not hesitate to visit support.flatburger.com, or contact me directly at jmcwilliam@flatburger.com.

Mark,

Can you be a little more specific about what you mean by module's killing your site if you do not have the licenses installed properly?  I want to make sure there is not a new issue we do not know about.  Excluding the issue with partial trust that is being talked about in this thread, we are un-aware of any sort of breaking issues related to the licensing technology.  If a licensed module is installed, and added to a page, you will be prompted to enter an activation key.  If you do not, a message will be shown indicating that you do not have a valid license to execute that module.  Entering an valid activation key indicating that you have purchased the module will immediately unlock that module.  If for some reason that is not possible, installing an unprotected/unlicensed copy of the module will immediately overwrite the protected DLL's, and the licensing will have absolutely no affect.

We apologize for any issues you may have had.  If are having any issues, again, please do not hesitate to contact support.flatburger.com, or me personally at jmcwilliam@flatburger.com

Also, just to be absolutely clear, yes, the promotional modules were given out absolutely FREE to all those that took advantage of it.  While these modules were FREE to end users, the developers of these modules were fully paid for each copy by FlatBurger.  These licenses do expire in a year.  At that time, you will be prompted to enter a new activation key, which you can easily get if you choose to by clicking the 'Get Activation Key' button on the activation screen.   If you choose not to, you will not be able to continue using that module, and you may remove it from your page and/or uninstall it.  This will in no way affect any other part of your site though, as it only applies to the specific module in question.
