First time doing an upgrade and I didn't know about the machineKey in the Web Config; after doing the update I was unable to log in; after learning about it I copied the old one to the web.config but I still can't log in; I also had some warnings about multiple user names while doing the update; not sure if this caused a problem or not; but I can't even log in as host. Is there any way to fix this?

from/to which version did you perform an upgrade?

I was upgrading from 4.0.2 to 4.3.7.
Unfortunately I deleted the folder and restored my database in an attempt to fix the problem.
