Thanks to the people on this forum, I have managed to get a few installations of DNN (4.4.2) up and running (In fact, I was starting to think that it was easy ;-)

I have just done what I haev done several times before - FTP'd all the install files up to a new account, nodified the config file to point ot my DB, and then browsed to url/Install/install.aspx

Instead of the  install screen, I am geeting Error in application '/'.

I have since uploaded a new web.config, in which I have set custom errors to off, but still nothing is hapenning, apart form the same error above. I am guessing that at this point I need to go back to my isp and check that they have got .net 2 enabled for this account, but before I do, is there any thing else I should check is ok?

Cheers

Hey, you must be a genious, getting installed successfully a DNN version that has not yet been issued ;)

Regarding your issue, I assume, that the IIS web site / virtual directory is not configured properly.

All I can say is it was sunday evening, and I'd been working all day lol.

I'll get back on to the ISP, but at least you haven't pointed out anything else I might have missed :)

Cheers
