Hi,

I am looking for a DNN core API ( if any ) to delete related records of a module when user is removing a portal. I have found a action event "DeleteModule" but it seems not the current one.

I have developed a custom module which has its own table in DNN database. However, I don't know how to catch the event when user attempt to remove a portal then I could delete related module records in the same time. For now, all the module records still remain when user has deleted the portal.

Hope someone could point me out a way, thank you!

Commonly this is solved in the database via relationships.

Depending on your needs each record in your own database is "tied" to with a ModuleId, TabId, TabModuleId or PortalId and the referenced back to the DNN core tables (you can take a look at some of the core modules for examples). Also this relationship is marked as a "Cascade Delete" one and upon deletion of the portal via relationship strucuture the required rows are deleted as well.

Hope you can find your way with this, if you can't let me know and I ll try to give you a more vivid example.
