Hi,

I have just created a new DotNetNuke v4 project. The Site Wizard is unable to display images for the skins on the page titled 'Select a skin for your site'.

The images (thumbnail_horizontal menu - fixed width.jpg) are there at the following location:

C:\MyProject\Portals\_default\Skins\DNN-Blue

Can anyone please advise why DotNetNuke is unable to display this file.

This is my first attempt at setting up a dotnetnuke web site by the way.

Best Regards,

Steve

Two questions:
1. What version of DNN?
2. Are you using Firefox?

Hi Timo,

Thankyou for the reply.

1) Version 4.3.6.* - According to AssemblyInfo.VB

2) No I'm using Intenet Explorer 7.0

I did have another problem though, which caused a runtime error as described here: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/107/threadid/94611/scope/posts/Default.aspx

I removed the comment from the dnn.js file as described which resolved that particular error.

The only other thing I can think of that could be relevant is that I installed DotNetNuke twice. Once for version 3 and again for version 4 as I couldn't see how to deinstall it. When creating a new project in visual studio the dotnetnuke template appears twice.

Regards,

Steve

I know there is a problem with skin icons in DNN and FF but I have seen other posts with these kind of problems too.
This is due to the path being rendered with backslashes.
This seems to be the case here too.
Though solved (in DNN 4.1.1) on other pages where you can change the skin here the problem is still there.
I'll add it to the bug-tracking system.

Hi Timo,

OK thanks for the answer.

But since I am just starting out and the latest version seems to now be 4.4.1, I would like to deinstall my current version (4.3.6) and reinstall the latest.

But how can I deinstall dotnetnuke? Couldn't see anything in the documentation.

Regards,

Steve
