Looking in the log viewer, the last login event was on 2/4/07 even though approx 500 people hit the site daily. I have looked for the aspnet.exe process on the webserver, SQL server and local machine, and cannot find the process running or otherwise. How do I cycle the process if it is not running? Thanks for the time you are putting into this.

Oops, too used to working on my local dev machine. On your server I think it'll be the w3wp.exe process but even if you recycle the application pool your site uses in IIS that should do the same I think. Possibly even restarting the application under Host Settings may do the trick.

after recycling the w3wp.exe process, and restarting the svchost.exe that it was running under, and restarting the application from the host settings, and restarting the website from IIS and restarting the World Wide Web Publishing Service on the web server. The site still does not log any login events. I have restarted everything I can think of except for the Web server itself. getting a little frustrating, but is not a huge rush at the moment since this is a project I am working on in my spare time. Thanks for all your help so far.

No problem. It was more me making sure I hadn't screwed something up with the last update.

I'm in the middle of working on a project for work but I'm thinking about maybe writing a scheduled process that'll sync the user accounts with the AD. If it worked it would negate the need for doing the code fixes every release which no look like they don't work under full authentication anyway.

Any further thought on this?  I tried to do this, but unfortunately it wants to use the Portal Settings which are loaded in cache and does not appear to be available during a scheduled event.
