Hello,

I have the following settings on a new fresh DNN 4.4.1 install:

My website is hosted in USA (UTC-5), on a shared hosting plan
I am living in France (UTC+1)
The Site Settings / Portal Time Zone is set to UTC-5
The time zone of my user is set to UTC+1

When I look to the sitelog, time hour are UTC-5 (hosting time)
When I look user account, last activity date, time hour are UTC-5 (hosting time)
When I edit an 'annoucement' (core module) @ 10h00 local time, I have the information: last updated @ 04h00 (hosting time)
When I upload a file into the repository @ 10h00 local time, the date stamp which is displayed is: 04h00 (hosting time)
Same with other modules like Ventrian news article showing "hosting time" (date of creation or update), etc...

Why ??? Did I make a mistake in my settings ? Where is the problem ? Did I miss a parameter somewhere ??

Normally, I would expect the annoucement module, repository module and others module to show the local time.
Is there a trick, something I do not understand, a bad setting, a normal feature ??? I have tried to change the site settings / portal time zone to UTC+1, it does not change anything, the hour displayed are still hosting time!! I have checked in the database, table dbo.portals, and it seems it is correct (TimeZoneOffset = -300)...

Thanks for your help,
DV FX
PS: On my website, I have not tested forum, but in this forum, the time stamp is correct (it displays my local hour...)
Is it the only module to take into account local time ??

Sorry, if I set in Ventrian module the "server time zone" correctly, then the hour is displayed correctly.
So, what about OTHER core modules ?? They do not take into account the hour of the user for displaying it ???
