Can someone please help me with something I would think is very simple.  I want to keep the pages embedded within the iframe.

Example:  I put a simple iframe module in pointing to an external site such as www.yahoo.com (example only)

Upon intial load everything looks right (meaning yahoo is inside the module/frame) but as soon as I click on a link to anything such as Horoscopes it will basically make that the entire page.  (I lose my portal, etc.)  It is similar to target->new page but it isnt really launching a new browser session, etc.

Please have patience as I am new to all of this

Also - I am very aware of the 'etiquette' side of this - I am just wondering if there is a way to do this or not.  I would like to embed some web-based pages of products I use... for example MOM2005 Web Console.

Thanks!

As far as I know, there's no way to control this without doing a screen-scrape and modifying the target site's HTML. The problem can be one of two things. Either the target site uses a link target of _top or _parent or the page that is linked to has JavaScript that checks to make sure it is the top frame (to stop from being inside others' frames). This is fairly common because of all the problems people have had with frames. Sorry. I don't think you'll be able to get around this very easily.

This is the default with DNN Version 4.0.x - clicking on an embedded page within the Iframe will continue to load pages into the Iframe module within your site.  Good luck.

I basically have exactly the opposite problem.
I have an iframe, which an link to another of my portal pages.
But unfortunately when the link is clicked, it opens only in the iframe.
Obviously you will understand that this is not at all what I want.

Can anybody help me out and tell me how to link in a way that the whole page (not only the iframe) will change?

Thanks a lot!
