I'm in the process of migtrating several sites to 3.2 and I have to say that documents is a dissapointment.  It's one of the few areas, if not the only, where the module's functionality is actually reduced.

Bring back view order please.  It would be nice to have all the other suggested bells and whistles (although perhaps the repository will deliver those and more).  But not to be able to display the downloads in anything but date added order makes the module nearly useless, it's not at all obvious to look for the most recent addition at the end of the list.

I'm sure there's a big list of requirements that will be fulfilled for the next release but how about an iterim that just gives back the old functionality as a minimum.

Caroig: The "manual" sort index feature is implemented in the upcoming release.  You can specify any column you like as a sort criteria, but you can also enter a "sort index" for each document and sort by that, if you want to.
