If it's an IE specific issue, I would guess that you updated from asp.net 1.1 to 2.0, and are having problems with old copies of the validation js. Follow the guidelines http://weblogs.asp.net/ssharrock/archive/2004/10/18/244150.aspx to fix this.

I had this same issue, I fixed it by running "aspnet_regiis -c" to install the clientside javascript (creates a folder "aspnet_client" with the correct javascript).  Once I sis this and then did a ctrl+F5 everything worked again. 

Cathal, is this dir (and files) something DNN should add to the deployment zip?  This was we know we have the right version for the given DNN version?
