Hello,
I want to change some things in core of Dotnetnuke for mysite ( such as adding another calendars ...) I do it before on dnn 3.3
but now I can't change the dnn4.X.

I can use the Starter kit , but there is a problem. In admin folder, every Unicode character that I put as a Label text dont show on the page after compile.(only ascii characters show)

but when I try to open source code by VS 2005 (+WAP)I can't run it at all. many errors appear.many variables can not find their definitaion ,( I dont change any things only run the solutions and compile it)

Is there any way thta I can use the source code?
Why do I have problems by non ascii code?
Thanks

there is a tutorial from Core Team member Michael Washington at dotnetnuke.adefwebserver.com, how to set up VS 2005.

please note, that label text should not set in source code, but in resource file to allow localization.

Cheers from Germany,

Thanks for your reply.
the lable that I want to change is lblDate ( admin/skin/currentdate) in vb file I changed the assigned value to this label. using our national calendar months name (containing non ASCII code) but when I complie it, only digits appear and month name doesnt show. for a test, I assigned a static Unicode text to this lable , in result lable doesnt contain any character.
I dont need to change the static labels text.
