Can DNN be extended (gracefully) to support user-specific content pages?

We're building a system for sports teams, and would like to use DNN as our starting point. However, it looks like from the docs there's no such thing as custom user-specific pages, and no such thing as different types of registered users.

We have 2 types of 'registered users' and each registered user will have some custom data in our own app-specific tables. For example if a coach logs in, they need to have a page that shows their roster of players. If a player logs in, they would have a page or two with some player-specific info. That doesn't seem to fit very gracefully into the DNN framework -- or does it? At least, I couldn't find it in any docs, even after extensive searching.

If DNN can do that, can someone point me to where in the docs we could start to explore that capability?

if DNN cannot do that, can anyone suggest another app framework that might work better for our application (any platform is ok)?

Thanks!
Willie
