Hi,

Performing search will return results, but when clicking on the links, they seem to take you to the repository default page, page 1 sorted by date.

Here is an example

24 Repository - my test file - Relevance: 1002
here is my test file
http://mywebsite.com/FileLibrary/Downloads/tabid/61/ItemId/15/Default.aspx - 12/20/2005 10:09:58 AM

The actual file is listed on the 2nd page, but the results from the search and the link given dont take you to the actual file when clicked.

This is real frustrating as i have a pretty large library. I have had so many complaints on this, i disabled the search all together and was hoping this would have been fixed in the new version.

Thanks,

Gary

This has already been logged into Gemini and will be fixed as quickly as possible.

I've been experiencing the same problem with DNN 4.8 and Repository 03.01.13. I looked at Gemini's issue REP-1963 and discovered that it was "withdrawn" with reason "cannot reproduce". Why?

All my repositories have multiple categories. When searching, titles of documents come up, but when I click on the link it takes me to the page that hosts the repository module where I see a repository having the "ALL" category enabled, but without any documents! (There actually are documents belonging to the "All" category). If I select a different category from the dropdown, then documents appear. Of course, if I re-select the "All" category, documents appear normally.

This is a major bug IMHO, due to the fact that search results mislead the user to believe he's navigating to an empty repository.

I'm using the filelist skin.

DotNetNuke them!

I believe that issue is fixed in 3.01.14 and that the reason the issue was withdrawn in Gemini was that it was a duplicate issue and mistakenly marked as 'cannot reproduce'

Until 3.01.14 passes through the release process, you can download and install it here if you don't want to wait...

I just found this post via a google search.  I also just posted this same behavior as being a problem either with the repository module or the search module.  I do hope this is corrected in the next release!  It makes the search feature useless unless the links can take you to the correct document/article.
