Hi,

I got a problem installing DNN 4.3.4. The installation is fine, but when I open the site, there is an error in each module. Alle tables are installed. If I look for instance at the databasetable Text/HTML, all fields are filled with NULL. Below you see the error message from the log viewer. If I load a new module Text/HTML, I'm not able to fill it. So I get the same error. Does anyone know what to do with this?

  • make sure, both connection strings in your web.config are identical
  • do NOT use DNN 4.3.4 due to severe issues, please use latest version 4.4.1

Thanks for you reply,

I forgot the second connnectionstring........... You say not to use DNN 4.3.4. I installed 4.4.1 some weeks ago, but that one had a problem with the editor. I installed Cute Editor on that one. Is DNN 4.4.1 stable and have you heard about other users having problems with the editor? If I clicked on Save (Text/HTML-module), the changes were lost and the editor showed the original text. Clicking on Save for the second time and the editor saved and closed, just like normal. So is it a DNN 4.1.1 problem or a Cute Editor (5.3) problem?

DNN 4.4.1 is very stable, has ~ 70 issues solved (some af them are existing for years) and is very fast. I have no issues saving content with FTB3 and FCKEditor, you might request support from the editor's vendor.
