Hi

Can I configure DOTNETNUKE 4.X Framework with DB2 Database. Please also specify the connectionstring for both oledb and odbc.

Hello, I have the same problem. I had create an entry in the connectionstring in the web.config like

<add name="DATABASE" connectionString="DSN=DATABASE;Uid=user;Pwd=pwd;" providerName="System.Data.odbc"/>

I had created too in the namespace section

<add namespace="System.Data.odbc"/>

But this doesn't connect via ODBC. The ODBC entry use the iseries client access driver.

Do you have any news ?

Thanks

you need to create an ODBC database provider, in order to connect to your database using ODBC - AFAIK, never has tried this yet due to the huge effort needed and bad performance of ODBC.

Hi
As we know odbc connection doesn't support Stored Procedure. As i tried to configure mu DotNetNuke Framework with empty database in DB2 using ODBC but i'm afraid to say it doesn't support it. So if anyone is having anyother way out so then please suggest me.

regards
Gaurav

THe only way around it would be to write your own DataProvider and you would need to ensure that you converted all stored procedure calls into methods within the provider if stored procedures are not supported.
