Hello,

I have an application getting developed within DNN for an airline booking where in we need to first search for a valid air ticket for a particular day & then if the user needs to go ahead with booking then first need to login else register with the portal to go ahead.

Now, i would like to know that how should I be able to link the air ticket booking module with the inbuilt registration module of DNN& once the registration is done then transfering the control back to the booking module for making the payment.

Please suggest some method to achive this feature..

Thanks,

AP

well - the registration isnt that bad really - the real issue is you need to grab and hold onto whatever info from the booking site - how do you do that?  If you know that then you can build a solution to do what you need - I cant give you more concrete info cause i am not sure i really understand what you are really trying to do

I have a booking module. Now whatever booking info the user will get after the search will be saved either into the cache object or session from the booking module. But after getting the search details the user either needs to login or needs to register for making the final booking & the payment henceforth.

Now my problem is how to call the registration module from booking module & once successfully registered or after login into the system, how to transfer the control back to the booking module for the rest of the booking & payment process.

I hope that I have been able to clarify my requirement.

Thanks,

-AP

have you looked at the login module? basically with a few tweaks it can do this -

heres what i would do - create the booking module as two screens - the first would do the search and save the info to a cache or whatever - then the second would be like an edit screen and when you try to link to it its going to ask you to login  - this really isnt a hard requirement as long as the 'edit' or booking is required to have certain rights that a user who logs in would have

Does that make sense

Hi
Iam using DNN 4.4.1 starter kit I want to make my users log in DNN blogs from my web application which I created using VS2005 with sql server 2000 .I dont know how to use the users registering in my application to access blogs and forums in DNN.
Do I need to create all my webapplication in DNN or can I use it with some tips . Do I need to use blank solution methods to do this or can I simply add my project as a module in DNN . Do I need to save my user passwords whiich are registering from my application to encrypt in the same format as it is done in DNN.If yes then tell me which encryption algorithm for encryption is used to encrypt the password.

Please reply soon

Regards
