I have a couple of questions concerning modifying the user profile.

Here is what I would like to accomplish, and was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is a possibility or not:

I would like to add a drop down list to the user profile page (I have set it up so that this is required during registration) that will list a few different software packages that we have.

Then when the user submits the registration, depending on what option they choose it would give them a certain role on the dnn page.

I don't know if this is possible using the default registration module, or if it may be a possibility in another registration module (on snowcovered or another site).
