Hi,

I use Inventua Flashplayer to display an (flash format) advertising video clip on our home page. We have some older movies that we want to make available, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to do this.

I remember with one of the media players (for MP3) long ago, one could see a list of mp3 names, and then it would play the selected file in the same player. Something like that would be ideal.

Another way would be to create a seperate page for each archived movie and put a flash player on each page, but this seems a little labor intensive (I'm also trying to keep the number of pages on the portal to a minum).

Has anyone else done this before, or have suggestions for a nice solution?

Thanks

Rozanne

Rozanne,

I know the core repository module has a media view you can use.  I have seen some nice stuff done with XMod as well (but that would be more custom).

Hi Rozanne

I recently used the smoke ranch media player for a small site.
Like the repository template it can call whichever player you need. Good control of wmv and Qt players,
Says it does swf but never tried. Do not think it plays FLV's which is a big shame.
It has categories and can display thumbnails and stuff.
See it working here on wmvs. http://www.latitudefilms.eu/ClientsShowreels/tabid/53/Default.aspx

You might also have a look at Bhatti modules a i believe Jaydeep has a kind of "multi feature module.
