I was copying the install files of fresh install to the root directory,

and updated the web.config to my database (not a new, belong to an existing site).

I have a error when I browse to the site :

Why? Can't I use the Database? Can't I save my data?

As far as i know installation on the root is not easy for Godaddy. You have to create tons of virtual directories and assign correct permissions. For some security reasons godaddy does not allow writing on the root. And i strongly suggest installing on a virtual folder. Or wait a few days, ill post a ultima guide to install Godaddy root.
