I've tried SolPart, HouseMenu and SEOMenu. Apparently I don't understand all the hacks necessary to make my nav work in Mac Firefox, Safari, Netscape and PC IE.

Have you set up a nav that works in all these? What did you use?
Is there a resource to help me better understand the hacks required?
Any help at all is appreciated.
Thanks
Ken

Hi max20

I have found the only solution for me was to insert a custom css with cross browser hacks directly into a text/html module and insert links manually.  But I also need to insert a tab which uses Solpartmenu so that I can access admin/host settings.

Thanks for the input.

If you download SEOMenu and install the module definition, then you can use the token [SEOADMIN] in your skin and have access to just the Admin and Host menus rather than using SolPart for that. It has worked great for me.

I'd be interested in knowing what doesn't work with FireFox, Safari, Netscape, and PC IE with both Solpart and DNNMenu.  Could you provide a little more information and also the versions of the browsers you are referring to?

My DNN installation is version 4.0.3. My test page has vertical navigation with subnav that flies out to the right, over a Flash animation in an Inventua Media module. The wmode is set to transparent and my css items have z-index of 99999. Behaviors described below.
  Safari 2.0.4 Netscape 7.2 FireFox 1.5.0.10 IE 7.0.5730.11 (PC)
HouseMenu Works ok except flicker when switching between subnav items Works well. Works well. Subnav shows the word "false" in a large cell in subnav area. Subnav shows below this and works.
SEO Menu Perfect Subnav appears over Flash but disappears when I try to mouse over it. Perfect Subnav does not show up at all
SolPart I can't seem to get the css to format the way I want it to look. Flash file disappears when subnav overlaps it. Formatting issues (I haven't spent much time trying to fix since I was hoping another solution would work. Formatting issues Formatting issues
As I mentioned, my css skills are intermediate as is my DNN knowledge.
