I am looking for paid progranmming assistance (as cheap as possible) to develop a module which will search an Excel spreadsheet (backed up from a database) and display the result on same or other page. Anyone who can help do this, or is there  an existing  module that can be purchased or available free ?
thanks

Are you simply looking for something to search a specific field in an excel file?

Send me an e-mail with a sample of the file and exactly what you want to see happen with the file and I can look into what I would charge to build a module for you to accomplish this task.

I do not know if there is anything out there yet for this, you might look on snowcovered.

depending on where you'd store such excel file, and how you want to search it, you might want to consider MS Index Service. I have a module available that plugs into index service, and allows you to display results to all files indexed by index service (http://www.apollo-software.nl/DotNetNuke/Modules/QuickSearch/tabid/355/Default.aspx)

Does Quick Search Module validates ? The file might not be local to site though.

Hi and thanks. Apparently MS Indexing  searches for files in a network. However my need is for a module which will search within a single excel file for a string and display every row where such a string exists.
