Conan,

We are finalizing several modules to migrate users from 3.x to 4.x.
The process will be painless but we need to complete packaging for DNN Review.
This takes time.  The modules support profiles also.

Migrating from DNN 3.2.2 is very different from DNN3.3.7.
Earlier versions may also be different.  Same goes for DNN4.x.

Which version of DNN3.x are you migrating from?

Which version of DNN4.x are you migrating to?

I'm trying to simply move a site from one server to another, and I THINK the machine key and validation key were copied (I didn't do the move) but I had to reset the passwords on the host and admin accounts to get in. (The way I got in was by an AD account that was a superuser, and the AD auth module from windowssignin.asx let me in so I think I got lucky and didn't have to use the procedure in Mike's tutorial, although I have used it and it worked.)

Now I can't seem to add users to roles -no entries in the user name pull down list (and the AD Role Synchronization is not working, but that is a topic for another forum).

I'd be willing to test a migration module for 3.2.2 to 4.x.

I'm about to move from 3.3.3 to 4.x and would be keen for any modules that make it less painful...

Soon'ish
