Just updated my announcement module to the latest version and I get the following error...

you probably didn't read the Min DNN Version Value correctly when you downloaded the latest announcement module version. Announcements 03.04.00 needs dnn 3.3.x / 4.3.x, so it won't work on dnn 4.0.3.. sorry.

Yes it seems I missed that bit - might be worth putting it on the download section rather than your blog?

Clearly my only option is to upgrade to 4.3.0 - are there any simple instructions for how to do this - my DNN site was built directly on my webhost server using an app in their control panel so the 'techy' based instructions don't really help me much....

Keith, the downloads have a columnd that displays the minimum version.

The upgrade procedure is detailed in the installation document. Other than that, search the Announce It forum, someone posted a step by step tutorial.

I must say I haven't seen any indication of minimum version for modules with their own download page such as announcements, forum etc... maybe I'm just missing it but I don't think so.

Trying to find someone local who can help me with the upgrade thing!
