Hello ALL,

I have a question I have one module - Custom TreeView which navigate to another module - list of items belong to this Node in treeview(menu), I am using querystring to navigate from Menu module to List of Items module.

How can I implement such scenario in DotNetNuke? Any examples or links would be appreciated.

Thank you

guys,

How do you navigate inside your dnn website from one module to another using querystring?

I would suggest you put the treeview and the results to display in the same module.

If I am going to put treeview and the results in the same module I will end up with page reloading all the time user clicks on treeview item, I want to have only list of items to be reloaded on web site when user clicks on treeview menu. :-(

I wouldn't suggest this...

Much better (in my experience) is to make 2 modules... one is list and the second is selector (or something similar) which will hold the treeview.

Make the logic very similar as the one you put in normal asp.net, and then either via url (check out NavigateURL functionality) or via IMC (if they will always be on the same page) communicate from treeview to your list module.

This way you can implement (later as user) your solution as a set of small blocks which can be implemented and combined over panes and pages (if necessary) in any way you want. Also it looks cleaner and nicer as it fits better in most designs.

if you need help on how to do this feel free to ask (it's quite simple).
