Getting this error on my site: what does this mean?
"DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Net.WebPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed."

This is likely an issue with running your site in a medium trust environment. Medium trust heavily restricts the connections your application may make with remote systems.

Is this module supposed to be establishing a connection with a remote system?

not all of my modules getting this type of error have to access remote systems, but several do.

for example, i have 2 different weather modules, one that pulls data from yahoo, and one that pulls data from weather.com... neither of them works on 1 of my dnn 4.4.1 web installs.  but they both work on my other Web install of DNN 4.4.1  >>> Both of them work on my Intranet install of 4.4.1

yet another module i have works on my Intranet install, but on neither of my Web installs.

Any ideas?

In a medium trust environment, you cannot by default access external web resources. For this to work, your hosting provider will need to add this permission attribute to a custom trust environment:

<IPermission class="WebPermission" version="1">
<ConnectAccess>
<URI uri=".. your uri ...">
</ConnectAccess>
</IPermission>

Unfortunately, convincing most hosting providers to put you in a custom trust environment and add custom permissions will probably be difficult. I am not aware of an alternate solution to this problem.

Thank you for your help on this one...

I'll be changing hosting providers over this issue...  Unfortunately...
