I followed the instructions in the readme.txt under the documents folder and it said to just run it http://localhost/dotnetnuke.

When I do this I get a configuration error Unrecognized attribute 'requirePermission and can't go any further. I tried pointing to the install/install.aspx file but got redirected to the root with the same error. I have set permissions for network services on the dotnetnuke folder and have create the database. I thought this was supposed to be an easy install. I start a fresh install not an upgrade.

Thanks

Royal

Just tried the new installer. It's great have been using DNN for quiet a while (can't remember what version I started on) and this was the easiest installation I've had to do. Done first time after some reading and a look at that video.

Great work!!

I got an error to connect to the SQLExpress when setting up the DDN 4.5 using the install wizard. I have been searching for solutions in this forum but got nothing. Anyone can help me out?  Thanks in advance.

Just an update. Installer works great. My problem was that I had to change the default .net framework from 1.1 to 2.0.

I can't view the video. IE shows me: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" in what looks like an IFrame.
