Frank,

Great site! I have my domains at 1and1 but had issues with DNN working properly with them. Back when I last tried they did not support asp.net 2.0, which must to have changed obviously. I was wonder how working with 1and1 has been, I had issues with making changes and uploading files took forever. Also how is your speed overall. Even though my site is shared hosting with 300+ sites on one server, it only takes about 2 seconds to load. Your site is hosted with just over 100 other sites and it takes me over 10 seconds to load? (My home page is still under construction and is not as robust as yours) Wanted to see how you felt using them overall? I love 1and1’s control panel and wound mind switching back.

Also what are you using to replace the DNN logo with your logo for the internet shortcut? Looks nice : )

Thanks,

Sean

Sean,

I really can't endorse 1and1.  Their support is non-existent.  There servers (However they just went through a big upgrade with sql server 2005) are not that stable.  However, I will say that before this current mess of an upgrade they did, they were pretty stable.  I didn't have much downtime.   BTW, How do you know how many sites that www.raiseepilepsy.org is hosted with? (Curious).   I do love the control panel and it's very easy to use except for the webfiles app.  That thing is very slow.

If you google "favicon.ico" you will see how I did it.  I created an ICO file and put it in the root of my website.

Thanx

Frank

Frank,

Thanks for the tip, I am still learning web development in many ways...lol As far as the tool I use, it is a firefox add-on that links me to this site.
