Rather than having portals created by the host, is it possible to have the portal creation process commence automatically after the user completes the registration process?   Example:  Let's say someone comes to my site "AAAportals" and would like to create a portal that focuses on beekeeping.  As part of the registration process, I'd like to add a question that gathers the name of the site and the appropriate URL which will point to this site.  After this person finishes registering at AAAportals, I'd like for him to be able to go right into his beekeeping website and start customizing it to his liking.  Then, when he is satisfied with the customized site, he can point change the DNS of his registered domain to my server and he's up and running.

As I understand how DNN works, this guy could register, but only the host account (or whatever account name w/ that role) can create the site.  I'd simply like to transform this multi-stage process into a single-stage one.

Thanks.

Hi,

There is a little information about how to create demo in here http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/108/threadid/13241/scope/posts/Default.aspx

I would suggest you to read how to develope a module first and do the same things for demo portal... You do not need to develope any code. All you need to do is to set up the module definitions...

Hope it helps...

Thanks.  The link you referenced seems to suggest that a copy/paste is all that was done for the demo portal.  I'm guessing there's a little more to it than that.   I'll take a look at the module documentation.
