In my scenario, I have three or four page editors(not site administrators, but belong to a role with admin rights to a page) working on an events module. Even though they are page admins, they cannot edit each others events. How can we work around this? They work as a team and need to be able to change event details if the original person is not around.

If they are a "Site Admin" they will be able to edit any event....

Group cross-editing is not supported in the module.  At some point we may implement delegation.  But the concept of the module is eventually to implement "user owned" calendars and "group" calendars.  Currently the only way this is supported is put the users in the "Moderator Role".  The only real way to solve this problem in the current implementation is to assign "Editor" role within each event....How would you solve it?  Remember there are a lot of folks using this module for a lot of different reasons....Show us the Use Cases...and try to think through all use issues.

I did work around it by assigning the moderator role to the page editor role. Thanks

What about having a setting that site admins can control in the module settings: "Allow Group Editing", and you could pick the roles that could create or edit events. Or implementation could be similar to the UDT or Repository settings (I forget which one had the options in Permissions settings).

Our Use Case: Where also using the events calendar as a stand alone calendar view of events; no enrollment, no moderation. Strict calendar and list view of items for an intranet audience. For our use case, it is not necessary to have those enrollment options. I would much rather have a customizable calendar and list templates than event enrollment. I'm sure I'm in the minority on that one . Also, don't laugh, but we don't use Outlook either, we use Lotus, so I've had to remove the export to calendar feature.

Looking forward to the next release. I'll probably fork it at that point and change it to suit our needs more. Thanks for all the work that you've put into the calendar, it is a pretty cool app.
