How do I have the order of the announcements sort in descending order.  Can I change some code in the files for this module...  It doesn't really make any since to have it go in ascending order.  How can I make it do this...

Thanks,
Jason

You can use the view order.

Changing the view order is not a great solution for me, I am using this module to announce tour dates. There are a lot of dates and they are updated regularly, so having to keep track of a view order is a real pain! Is there a stored procedure or something I can edit to change the view order so that the most future tour dates are at the bottom of the list, instead of the top. It's no use having a tour date next year at the top of the list when there is one next week, which ends up at the bottom.

I found a quick fix for this.... To change the sort order, open the database stored procedure called "GetAnnouncements" and change this line:

order by Announcements.ViewOrder asc, Announcements.PublishDate desc

to this:

order by Announcements.ViewOrder asc, Announcements.PublishDate asc
