I pointed my new domain to the DNN mainsite URL i.e. for newsite.com, it is pointing to the root of mainsite.com. Then I create my new parent portal, give it the alias of: www.newsite.com. I click create and all it does it go to www.mainsite.com's home page logged in as host.

I then think, fine I will login as the newsite admin, and it says its an invalid account. I cannot seem to get to the newsite.com home page to get logged in as its admin.

What am I missing here.

I have more information to add to this.

I am using the default installation of DNN provided by GoDaddy. They created a VirDir under mainsite called /nuke. I created a redirect default.asp file that points www.mainsite.com to /nuke. So mainsite is working just dandy.

Is it possible that I need a VirDir under each of my newsite.com domains also?

Or, I have done lots of digging through this forum and see some very detailed instructions on how to "manually" install DNN and create my own DNN db. This would bypass the GoDaddy install altogether. However I am quite keen on getting a basic running DNN for multiple sites using the GoDaddy install. I figure someone out there must have figured this out...
