Hi,

I'm an absolute new comer to the website design community and DNN, and I have a question about changing the colors of my website. I don't know anything about skinning, CSS files, etc. How can I change the original DNN website colors of Blue on the top navigation bar to Maroon? Please give me step by step instructions (no general, unclear to layman terms). I imagine there is a line somewhere that says blue that I can change to maroon, or a code or something, but I don't know where it is, or what other changes I'd have to make.

I really appreciate the help!

If you are only looking to change the navigation bar, you want to change the following image file.

<root>\Portals\_default\Skins\DNN-Blue\gradient_DKBlue.jpg

That is the image used to make the background for the menu control. <root> stands for the root folder of your DNN installation.

Thanks so much... That helped a lot. How can I change the color of "Register Login" or "Search" copyright credits in the bottom, etc? I changed the color of the font on the main menu in the skin.css, but these other items seem to be controlled from somewhere else?
