Hi at all,

I'm new here so sorry for my stupid question.
I've downloaded the source, install and docs zip files (3.x and 4.x version) and I don't understand where is the dotnetnuke db!
There is another zip file to download? Where can I found the dotnetnuke db?

thanks, bye .

You have to create a database in MS SQL server, and then set a connection string in your web.config.  Once this is completed, DotNetNuke will build the database for you when you call the site from a browser for the first time.  So to answer you question, the database is actually stored in SqlDataProvider files.

Please take a look at the DotNetNuke Installation Guide.pdf doc in the docs download. It has a comprehensive guide on creating the blank database in either sql 2000 or sql 2005. Alternatively, if you're using the starterkit, when you create a new site, the welcome page will take you through the steps of creating a blank database in sql express.

Where can I find the system requirement before installing DNN? Does DNN 4.x only work with Sql2000 + and not SQL7 or lower?

I have never tested on SQL 7 and the core itself may work.  I think you will run into problems with modules though.
